DesignThis wrench is purpose-built for removing the notoriously stubborn lids from Hayward CL200, CL220, CL220BR, and CL2002S Chemical Feeders/Chlorinators. It’s not a one-size-fits-all tool that comprimises functionality in order to fit a myriad of other pool devices that you don’t own. I designed this wrench from scratch to undisputedly be the best tool for the job with the following goals in mind: 1. Easy and comfortable to use2. Rigid and durable3. Economical to produce and ship The six precision-milled teeth securely engage the lugs of the chlorinator lid, applying unform pressure all around the lid to prevent deformation and cracking. The wrench’s socket is optimized to be loose enough for easy mounting on the lid and tight enough to prevent slipping off the lid as you apply force. The long handle gives the user plenty of leverage to easily crank off those crusty old lids. Competitors’ tools that place the handle well above the lid tend to tip over as force is applied, requiring two hands and awkward forces to make it work. This wrench’s handle stays in line with the lid when it’s mounted so it can easily be used with one hand (provided the chemical feeder is securely mounted to the ground or plumbing). The entire tool is 1/2-inch thick with no ribs or hollow spaces. The top face is the same as the bottom face (with exception to the directional arrow which is embossed only on the front face). ConstructionThis wrench is milled from a single solid piece of marine-grade high density polyethylene (HDPE) polymer plastic. The material is extremely durable, light-weight, and naturally resists water, mold, and insects. It won’t splinter, rot, delaminate, or swell. The finished product is 0.50 inch thick, 13.25 inches long, and 7.5 inches wide. All the outer edges of the tool are rounded over for user comfort.
